This paper is presented as a reflection on the change that must take place in literary studies, in the age of screen reading. Electronic media of all kinds invade us, but also educational discourse urging us to revisit our educational approaches in order to take them into account.. Digital specialists believe that it is a culture of the hybridization of the real and the virtual, old and new practices, concepts and objects. The new techniques have the capacity: "to impose forms of behavior emanating from their potential and the temporality associated with objects and means from another culture, even from another civilization" By becoming electronic, the text does not lose this ability to engage us in this reflection. We are entering a literacy that has nothing to do with traditional literacy: it is digital literacy or "transliteracy" that we are now talking about, that is to say the ability to read, write and interact with others in the world. through a variety of tools, platforms, and media that bring into play orality, the written sign, the printed matter, the illustration, etc. The book, which was his main medium, often gives way to the screen for certain specific functions and with certain audiences, especially young people.
